HISTORY 

The club has been established after the great support from locals who require a football team to represent Pahang in HMS Beagle. As the initiatives to the request, Sultan Abu Bakar has established a club known as Pahang FA. In the next year, the club begins with the preparation against another states before taking part for the first time in the HMS Beagle Cup. After a long time looking for the homeground, the Council of Kuantan announced the construction of a new stadium, Darul Makmur Stadium in 1970.

Led by legendary Jamal Nasir, Pahang FA won the first cup in 1983 when they won the Malaysia Cup, the most prestigious tournament in Malaysia football after a win overSelangor FA in the tournament, breaking the long duopoly of Selangor FA and Singapore FA and also became the first East Coast team to win it. Nonetheless, the most successful era was in 90s, when the club successfully entered the final of Malaysia Cup 4 times eventhough they only succeed once in 1992. The 1992 was the best year when the club won the double, the Malaysia Cup and the league. Pahang FA in that year was touted as the Dream Team when several high profile players played for the club with the like of Dollah Salleh, Zainal Abidin Hassan, Khairul Azman Mohamed, Abdul Mubin Mokhtar, Ahmad Yusof, Australian football legend, Alan Edward Davidson and Singapore football legend, Fandi Ahmad. The club successfully defeated Kedah FA in final stage to win the Malaysia Cup, thanks to the fastest goal ever in Malaysia Cup history by Zulhamizan Zakaria. Pahang FA was also the first winner of the newly formatted M-League in 2004. As one of the most successful football team in Malaysia from 1980–2007, Pahang FA had successfully produced many talented local players from the academy such as Khairul Azman Mohamed, one of the best goal keeper in Asia in 1990s, the prolific striker, Azizul Kamaluddin, Mohd Fadzli Saari who played in SV Wehen Wiesbaden in Germany and Muhammad Juzaili Samion who was also played for the 4th division of Ligue 1 club, FCSR Haguenau in 2000.

In 2008, many players from talented young Shahzan Muda F.C. were absorbed into Pahang FA. In 2012, Pahang FA was playing in 2nd division of M-League. While in Premier League, Pahang FA showed great improvement in the 2012 season as they qualified for the Malaysia Cup quarter-finals. Pahang FA was also a Premier League runner-up in 2012, thus enable the club to play in the "play-off" matches for the promotion to the Super League. Pahang FA beat Kedah FA in the final of the "play-off" and had been promoted to Super League in 2013. In the year 2012, the club had to play in Temerloh Mini Stadium as the homeground for the first time after the Darul Makmur Stadium was put under renovation for the organisation of Sukma 2012. A year later, the club returned to Kuantan to play in newly renovated Darul Makmur Stadium and in the same year the lifted the Malaysia Cup for third time. Led by loyal serving captain, Jalaluddin Jaafar, they ended 21 years cup drought. By winning the cup, Zainal Abidin Hassan and Dollah Salleh had cemented their status as central figure of club history, as they won it as a player and as manager and coach respectively, while Zainal involved in all triumphs in 1983, 1992, 2013 and 2014.^[1]

Haaa amacam , ny lah negeri kesayanganku , negeri kelahiran ku , Negeri Pahang Darul Makmur . Sesungguhnya aku sngat bngga haha , rinduu giler nk jejak kaki kt pahang ny , tmpt aku mmbesar , tmpat aku cipta kenangan manis dan ade sikit pahit2 tu hehe , team bola pun power bohh , mase kt pahang dlu , stiap kali ade game kt stadium haa muke ny la yg dtg mnyokong , kecuali ade hal mustahak tak boleh pergi bru tak nmpk , kalah mng blkg kire ye dok , mng tak megah kalah tak rebah . Semangat stiap dr ahli pasukan buat aku salute . tambah lagi smngat pemain ke 12 ... ultras tok gajah . fuhhh wa tabik beb . setiap game dyorg turun , tak kire penat lelah lpas kerja ke ape ke , tp demi pahang smue penat mcm hilang . aku pun ade rse nk jd sbhgian dr ultras ny hehe , tp blom kesampaian , pelajaran perlu diutamakan , terpakse mnuntut di negeri org  jauh nun di sini , bumi knyalang , tak lama , 3 tahun je hahahahahahaha hek awok tak lame , nak balik pahang weyhhhh poh palehhhh , okaylah ade assignmnt  lain pulok ny  , lain kali la kite bertemu lg yerk assalamualaikum guyss :D

First of all , haha aduh maaf la terspeaking lebih pulak kan , haaa my name is Mohamad Al Hafiz Bin Mohamad Asri , sedapkan nama aku , tp tak seindah tuannye , name sedap , tp aku rse cm tak layak pulak , huhu boleh pnggil aku hafiz for short ^^ Mak ayah aku bg tu , aku bngga  huu, dyorg sumber inspirasi aku , dyorg la segalanya , i wish they are here huwaaaa  . Umur pulak bru 18 .. muda lg taw tp matured tu kalah org tua haa kau hader ?? , pompuan kan suke yg matured2 ny aumm ^^ gurau2 , bru lpasan spm dan skrg aku smbung blajar dkt bumi kenyalang . Universiti Putra Malaysia Kampus Bintulu . Gah kan nme U aku . Aku pun berharap suatu hari nanti aku dapat berdiri sme gah dgn nama U aku ny hehe aamiin . 

Aku berasal dr Kuantan Pahang , negeri tercinta selama nya . Rindu giler nak blk pahang huwaaaaa , plg awal aku boleh blk cuti sem ny which is in October .Tak lama dah kan ? haa yelah tu ade sbln lebih je lg , smoge dipermudahkan segalanya inshaAllah ..

Sebelom masuk U ny aku fresh graduate dr InSTAR Pekan , btol tak penggunaan kata aku tu hehe , Haaa msti korg tak tahu pun  kt mne kn. Takpe aku phm hahahhaha , skolah tu tak femes pun tp kt situ la aku bljar bnde baru , a lots , cikgu2 , kawan2 .... dyorg bnyk tggl kesan dlm hidup aku ... aku bina diri aku kt sini lah , aku budak nakal . kesian cikgu2 aku , bnyk dyorg bersabar ngn aku , kadang2 dah masuk U ny rindu nk kene marah , nak kene berleter , duk asrama tu dyorg dah mcm ibu bapa aku dah , inshaAllah segala nasihat dyorg tu aku akn jd sandaran kt sini :D hahahaha aku pun tak tau nk mngarut ape lg , aku tulis ny pun sbg pelengkap assgnmt teknologi maklumat aku hehe
